BEAUCHATEL is the result of a historic collaboration with a selection of producers in the south of France. These are partners with whom we share the same values: passion, commitment and quality.
The hillsides of the Aude, exposed to the hot and dry Mediterranean climate, produce delicious wines rich in fruit.
Primarily clay and silt on the hillsides and valleys of the Aude.
Traditional vinification of a healthy harvest, de-stemmed and pressed. Fermentation and maceration at a controlled temperature. Maceration lasting approximately a week.
Appearance: dense and bright raspberry.
Bouquet: expressive and fruity, it offers up black plum, blackberry and strong liquorice notes. When swirled, it develops currant jelly flavours with a hint of black pepper.
Palate: wonderfully round with ripe fruit, its richness and fruitiness on the palate has hints of blackberry pie and catechu, with a finish displaying stewed plum, blackcurrant and pepper notes.
To be drunk from now at 16°C, with a platter of deli meats (e.g. goose rillettes or roast chicken), grilled meat (such as duck breast skewers) and other simple fare to share among friends.
