Selection
In order to elaborate Yvecourt, the Yvon Mau House surrounded with the
Jury of the Greatest Wine Cellars Masters from Bordeaux. This year, they
organized few blind tasting and selected among several proposals this
authentic, harmonious, fruity, round and well-balanced Bordeaux wine.
Winemaking
The grapes used to make Yvecourt Moelleux were selected in a rigorous
manner. After pressing, the juice is separated and selected according to the quality, and is then decanted. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel vats at 18°C. Once the alcohol/sugar balance is reached, the fermentation is stopped.
Varietals
50 % Sauvignon
40 % Sémillon
10 % Muscadelle
Tasting notes
Yvecourt Moelleux has a pale yellow colour with golden tints. The bouquet reveals attractive, fresh scents of papaya and crystallised lemon, set off nicely by hints of passion fruit. The wine is tangy and perfectly balanced on the palate. Its flavours of white fruit (pear, banana) and lemon are balanced out by crystallised exotic fruit, making it both light and delicious at the same time. This will be the perfect wine for your aperitifs. It will also go nicely with poultry or blue cheese, as well as with desserts (flambéed caramelised pineapple, raspberry tart, etc.) Serve chilled at around 9°C.
