Turning Leaf Zinfandel
California winemakers have been creating fine Zinfandel for more than 100 years. Zinfandel is the only wine grape considered unique to the United States by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and was once the most widely planted varietal in California. Much of the grape's success is due to the weather. The classic pattern of warm days and cool nights in California vineyards effectively prolongs the growing season, enhancing flavor and character in Zinfandel grapes.
This Zinfandel is a medium-bodied wine with a concentrated berry character, integrated with spice and toasted oak.
This wine is an ideal companion to beef or lamb. It can also be a good complement with spicy pasta dishes. Or enjoy with strong after-dinner cheeses. Best served at cool room temperature 17-20°C.
